Java Tracking Script in Flash

I need to insert an html java tracking script to my flash site. Is this possible?

The way I do it is I make an html page, embed the flash into the page (or make it display in a new window) and the add the javascript to the html page.

You could also make a link to the flash but make that link go to a html page that loads the javascript and then redirects to the flash itself.
