Default New To Flash, and needing help with banners.?

Ok I have been programming now for about 5-6 years..and I decided to dabble in flash, mostly for making banner ads and such..

But I do not know how to make my banner actually work..like link wise..

How can I get it so when a person clicks on it, that it will link somewhere..

thanks for any help.?

Create a transparent button symbol and stretch it over the entire banner using the top layer of your animation.
Then use this actionscript:

on (release) {
getURL("urlhere.com","_blank");
}

And that should do it.

Hope this helps.

But I have been programming for about 6 years now...
