Default manual process creditcards

Hello,

I'm looking through all my options. I'm based in the Netherlands, and I need a decent creditcard processor, but Dutch companies overcharge, so those are not an option just yet. I'm really interested in manually process creditcards, does anybody know any good processors who will accept non-us merchants?

Thank you,
Wendy

I am pretty sure these guys can do it for you.

Card Service International. Approval is easy and your discount rates improve with time, and you can use it with your existing accounts. http://cardservice.com/

Cardservice could help if you had at least a US bank account & a US address. You do not need a social security number but the discount rate would be higher (I think about 4.5-5%) depending on what you are selling.

If you did have a social security number, your discount rate would be in the more "normal" range.

I would not reccommend cardservice under any circumstance. I have been in this business for years and I have never seen a single happy customer from cardservice. Their fee's are rediculous and anyone that processes through them could save a ton if they just shopped around. If someone throws the name cardservice at you I would run away and find someone who is going to set you up with a decent processor. Unfortunately since you do not have an american bank account you have 3 options.
1. 3rd Party Processor. (Paypal, Ikobo, 2checkout, etc.) Expensive but international.
2. Offshore processor. (Offshore / International merchant account) Very high cost and usually a large setup / activation fee.
3. Local bank in your area. All of the credit card processing in your country is controlled by banks. Unfortunately you have to go through them if you want to process.

Im not sure what quantity you would be dealing with, but if it is small I would go 3rd party. If you have good business I would check into the other 2 to see which one is cheaper. Unfortunately it is going to be expensive with either of the other options.
PM me if you want more info.

I have used them actually for 8 years. Never had any problems with them. You will always find people who have bad things to say about a company - very few to say anything good about anything.

A lot has changed since Chuck sold the company but I have never been happier with them

I'll remember that. We do sign accounts to them from time to time. I guess it just depends on the business you are in. Because, it is true that it is the best option for some people next to offshore processing.
