Cart recommendation from developers

Hi,

Am looking for a PHP Ecommerce solution from other developers.

We can't use pre-purchased templates or such as each cart we build has to be customised to look like the client's main site.

I've re-skinned both OS Commerce and Xcart several times and found them both a right pain in butt to re-skin properly and/or change layout etc due to some seriously heavy quirks in layout rendering (i.e crazy nested tables in OS Commerce) or needing to dig through a gazillion TPL files (Xcart).

Is there a product you've used which has been relatively easy to re-skin and is modifiable from a source code point of view i.e I can alter a module layout or add some functionality to one if required.

It also needs to deal with Australian setup

Have you looked into "shop site"? you can very easily incorporate them into just about any layout.

So is Shop Site a hosted solution?

Shop site "prefers" you to buy their product from one of their hosting providers. But you can purchase it right from them and have it hosted where ever you wish.
