Inventory Weight Verification

Hi All!

Our company is currently working through a new contract with a fulfillment company and have been questioning one particular item within the contract.

When products are received at their warehouse they indicate that a visual count of the product is conducted and then verified via weight. The margin of error they give themselves on the weight verification is 5%. Is this a margin that is standard within the fulfillment industry?

It concerns us due to the product we primarily carry, as it is relatively small and light in weight.
