This has already been answered. Please try searching for an answer before asking a question.

Average Conversion Rates - (What to expect)

BTW, my site has been converting steadily at around 14% for the past few months but it's taken 2 years to build the clientele.

Be patient, you'll get there.

Try to retain them, if they're targeted visitors the conversion rate may go higher.

I don't believe that conversion rates that pertain to one website can pertain to another. Different product, quality, price, website quality. It's hard to compare one to the other. You may be able to compare one similar product/service but in general i think it depends on all those factors. I'll have to check out that book vince.

hi

as i mentioned, i have a t-shirts shop.

with the current conversion rates, i guess i'll reach my financial goals once i reach the 1 billion visitors mark ...

i'll keep trying.

and google is the key to success. they are the fountain of clients.
no way around it.
articles, blogs, social, ppc, nothing beats organic results in google.

thanks

  • T-Shirt companies are a dime a dozen - what are you doing to differentiate yourself from the competition? Is that clearly articulated and present on the website?
  • Where are the credibility indicators & value proposition - testimonials, free/discounted shipping, security certifications, etc.?
  • Consider offering additional payment options - some people just don't like PayPal.
Here's a free tip also: Fix the link in your signature.

Hey Len,
Why don't you try for some other 2nd tier search engines.. I think that would bring you more traffic, with a less cost, I know the conversion rate would very less but the kind of money you will be paying for clicks would take your ROI higher.. I'm currently working with some 2nd tier search engine. cause the kind of business nature i have, with that I'm not allowed to promote myself in US & CA (yahoo, Google & MSN)

here is a link where you can get some more detail about this...

This is Me Sourav Ganguly: Search Engine Marketing with 2nd tier Search Engines

try this out and let me know if you have succes...
