Default UPS Shipping application problem

We are getting following message at the end of checkout process

"No shipping rates were returned for your order. The shipping provider's server may be unavailable at this time. Please try again in a few minutes. If the problem persists, please contact the store administrator."

Please help on this?

Hi Ravi,

I can appreciate where you're frustrated, most shippers will barely provide the xml data and certainly won't help you get things working.

I'd recommend that you contact your shipping cart provider. They may have an update available or a recommended solution. At any rate, I'm sure you're not the first person this has happened to.

Alternatively, if you've been editing your checkout pages, ensure that the scripts are correctly sending your data.

Lastly, check with the shipper to see if they've updated their server information or the variables required to calculate the shipping.

Try to test your scripts and their shipping calculator to make sure you're sending data to them and they're returning data.

Thank you Dubbya.

What I find is, 'scAlwNoShipRates' variable is returning 0 value instead of -1. This causes for the above message. Any idea?

I've no idea which cart you're using, so you'd best contact the cart provider and/or your shipper's tech support. They'll best be able to help you.

Looks like your system is trying to pull live rates. I'm not sure if this will work for you but you might want to short-circuit if you're still experiencing difficulty and simply impose a rate based on order value which will work just as well if of course shipping is directly correlated to value.....

IF your ready to offload this hassle Shipwire has a platform that your carts plug into for shipping and storage. we have an XML API and handle the issues your discussing on the back end so you deal with the shipwire platform and not the carriers. If its breaks you ring our neck
