Hi,
AOL seems to be the only host that we have a problem with. If anyone recalls, about a year ago, AOL got aggressive with spammers (kudos) and eventually filtered out every email from earthlink.net domain (take away those kudos). This was a total nightmare. Once in a while, a customer reports that they don't receive email from my company. This happens pretty frequently, but not all the time because my husband and mother-in-law that have AOL receives my emails. We even post at our checkout a notice for customers to allow our domain to bypass their spam filter, but as you probably know, not everyone reads everything. And, they don't take the extra step to do so. (1) Does anyone know AOL well enough to tell me why this is happening (I don't use AOL)? (2) We never sent spam. Could someone else (our competitor?) be disguising emails to spoof AOL that it looks like the emails are coming from our domain - and AOL puts our domain in their spam filter? I would think AOL is smarter than that and would not go by the words, but by the numbers in the headers to target spammers. But look at what happened to Earthlink customers. (3) Could our host be penalized from other clients sending spam and we are collateral victims? (4) Any other ideas? Thank you.

So, is the issue with your domain, or email coming from an Earthlink address that your business is using? What's the domain, and what issues are you seeing?
This is a topic on bounce issues with Comcast, might offer some insight and guidance to solve your issue with AOL. Comcast: Am I the only one who hates them?

AOL is a pain, definitely

It seems even if one aol user complains, they will ban the sending ip address.
