Default Third Party Shopping Carts and 1shoppingcart software

Hi, I would like some advice. I am developing an ecommerce site and was going to use oscommerce or agora shopping cards. I need something that I can customize but the problem is if there are issues with payment gateway or software I dont want to have to spend hours with the shopping cart forums or support and or webhost to remedy the problem as I have often done that for shared hosting and other projects and HATE it. My solution is to find a fully customizable solution that is hosted on a third party platform so if something goes wrong I can call their EXPERIENCED tech support to fix the problmem quickly. I have heard good things about 1shoppingcart.com but figured I would ask in the forum of anyones recomendations. They have a 30 day trial and a few packages. Im looking at the basic package around 30 dollars a month. I dont mind the monthly or annual cost as the client will make it up quickly but I do want something reliable and if problems arise they can be remedied easily without me spending sleepless nites and in a strangle hold by my client. Please submit any info you can in this. Thanks.

Product Cart E-commerce Software.

They are great. I am not a reseller or an advertiser, I bought the software and used it on this site: www.mjtsales.com

Its $625 and I got a year of hosting and a three year DEDICATED secure certificate for $249 from www.nextmill.net
(I do resell their hosting so feel free to contact me about that LOL) Nextmill also offers a monthly e-commerce package which uses product cart but you dont need tp pay for that if you buy the software and set it up your self.

The product cart software is awesome, very search engine friendly highly automated and customizable and easy to set up. It builds a on site map and a google site fully automated. Takes 20 seconds! all URL's are indexable and you can have different title and meta tags on each page as well as unique content.

They offer a 30 day return policy with a 10% restocking fee. However their website has all the info needed to make an informed buying decision and a section with links to dozens of sites which use their software. They also offer demos and manuals on their site to look at prior to purchase

Their tech support is great (and so is Nextmill webshosting support for that matter).

I hope this helps you feel free to PM me if you have any questions about their software.

Default 1shoppingcart

That price is rather steep for my client as they are a startup. Many well known marketers have used this 1shoppincart software. Have you heard anything good or bad about it? The advantage is that I can SEO the individual pages myself before they go to the third party site. I like the transparency option too. Sort of like a plug and play shopping cart. Im really looking for a comparable solution in price/functionality or any good/bad/ugly reviews of the software. Thank you though I will look into your recomendation as well.

We used 1ShoppingCart for a couple years when we first started our e-commerce site. I can tell you that is is a very solid and mature shopping cart system based on a SQL Server farm.

The tech support is excellent and the cart has a lot of features.

If its hassle free operation you are after then you probably won't find much better.

Default AWESOME!

Great that confirms much of what I have heard. Is there anyone else who has any good or bad. I noticed you said used. Have you outgrown it or found a better solution. Im curious as far as scalability. Please advise.

I have two clients that work with 1shoppingcart.com and they like it. Both are beginners without much web experience. One struggled to set up the cart himself, the other breezed right through it. They both set up and maintain products with a minimum of difficulty. They are also satisfied with their tech support. It is a good, in expensive solution.

I have had tremendous luck with www.quikstore.com/ You can do a LOT of customizing if desired and their tech support is top notch. They have a huge forum for support too so most answers can already be found there. If not the programer or another member ususally responds rather quickly.

Stay away from a company called CartIt or anything affiliated with them. I paid good money for what seemed like a good cart but I couldn't get it to work and they have NO tech support. I essentially spent hundreds of dollars on something I just ended up "trashing".

We have grown a lot since the early days and now have a dedicated server running a heavily customised version of X-Cart.

We moved away from 1ShoppingCart simply because we wanted a fully integrated content management system tightly integrated with a shopping cart.

However, support is an important factor and we use third party monitoring as well as 24 hour dedicated support.
