Default E-Commerce website w/ Image uploading capabilties question

I was hoping someone could lead me in the right direction. Here is what I would like it to do.

1) Users should be able to place an order using a digital image or a traditional image.
2) They should be able to select canvas size, technique and whether they wish to framed or gallery packed.
3) They would be shown pricing for each of the above selections. Once they make their selection they would be shown the final price.
4) They would then enter their billing, shipping and payment details. They would be able to pay using a credit card.
5) They would receive confirmation of their order being placed and instructions on how to send across the image.
6) If they have a digital image, they would be able to upload it through the site.

Thanks

Are you attempting to build this site yourself?
If not, I have a perfect .asp & Microsoft Access, or .asp and Microsoft SQL Server.
We can even host the solution for you.

tim,
Thanks for the offer. I am going to be building the site myself and I'm sure I'm going to host it where all my other sites are hosted. It's easier for me to keep organized.

Not a problem.
Basically, all you need to do is setup a normal shopping cart.
Then, in the email customers get after thier payment was accepted, put a link to a simple upload page on your website... I have used .asp upload scripts in the past and they work great. This uploads to a dir on your server that the IUSER has permission to write to.
Thats it man.
Simple is as Simple Does

Thanks that sounds simple enough. This will be my first attempt at e-commerce site. Do you have any suggestions on a good shopping cart? I want to keep it on the cheep side in the beginning. Do you know if Pay Pals cart will allow me to do this?

Thanks

Sure!
For a very small fee, you can use CandyPress.
Download and upload and setup the free version on your webserver. If you like it, spend the $60.00 and buy the full admin back end. It is definitely worth every penny.
If you have any problems setting it up, let me know.
I have built a few sites all based on the CP asp shopping cart.
Check out http://www.blanketmall.com That was my first site I built with that cart.

Everything but the asp upload, which you will need a script like I described earlier. You can put a link to this script in your canned email to the buyer when payment is received.
This way, no one has access to upload stuff until they pay.

See, it is simple, but complicated.
Give it a shot on your own. I would have the complete solution setup and running on our server in 1.5 hours. That is tested, tried and true.
If you spend more time on it, and cannot get anywhere after a couple days, let me know.
I will set it up and get it running for you on the cheap.
Let me know.

I’ve been working full time as a web designer/graphic and SEO for a local company for past 6 years. I do freelance work when I get the chance or see a project that I want to be part of.

Where I live (Singer Island, Florida) there is an artist fair on the water every Thursday that I walk up to and have a few drinks and eat. I recognized an artist from my childhood. He was a cartoonist for one of the comic book I use to read. We started talking and brainstorming and we came up with some great ideas that we thought could make some extra money. After doing my online research it’s definitely a nitch I feel can reach the top in. The key words return between 3 and 9 million results.

Basically I’m building out the site in my free time for free that’s why it’s taking me so long. All it’s really costing me is time. We will split all the cost and split all profits. Once the site is built out the only real cost will be hosting (which is basically nothing).

I’m doing all of the work now but when the site is done most of the work will be on his end.

If the site doesn’t work out it’s just another site to add to my portfolio.

Very cool man!
Well, I would like to offer some assistance, if you want/need it.
Just give me a yell, and I will assist.
