Default Miva To Upgrade or not?

Hi,

I have been running a ecommerce site (www.army-surplus.co.uk) for my business for the last 3-4 years. I have been using Miva, and have had no real problems with the software.

I am running quite an old version of Miva 4.13 and I am wondering is it worth upgrading my software to Miva 5, or would I be better going for another ecommerce solution.

Our store has around 500 products, we expect that to rise to roughly 1000 over the next 2-3 years so I would like something to grow with our business. Ideally I am looking for a stand alone, one of payment solution that will be able to handle the expansion.

We are based in the UK so we need software that is UK friendly with regards to VAT and shipping. Our customer base is International, so I would like something that is easy to use.

My question is, should we stick with Miva and upgrade, or is there a product out there that can offer everything Miva does but a little more for similar money?

I am wavering between two options, but would like the advice of the members in what way to go?
