Default How should I handle this?

Hey guys! I've gotten a lot of great advice on WebProWorld, so I have one quick question... I have a client with the following request for a website...

Quote:
Attorney site: a site in which I give legal information to the "customer" in the way of giving specific legal questions to a list of 30 specific legal questions which they choose from. I would like to offer the website in both English and Spanish. I already have the exact lay-out and wording of the website (except for the graphics and design). As I understand it, my site would offer a "shopping cart" from which the customer would order from using a credit card. The e-mail reponses would be immediate and in the form of the general design and layout of the website (in other words, not just a black and white typed response. I want the site to be classy yet simple and technologically sound.

I am not sure how to accept payment in this way, and display the information that he wants me to!

Any suggestions are GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks so much!

You could set the answers up as mini e-books to be downloaded after purchase.

Thanks for the reply! I have never dealt with E-Books before, and as embarassed as I am to say it, I haven't dealt with an E-Commerce website either... (besides using Paypal)

If you could elaborate on how I would allow visitors to "purchase" a "mini-ebook" that would be great! Would I utilize a shopping cart? I wonder how much programming that would involve...

Thanks again for your help! I truly appreciate it!

Hi,

I've been selling an ebook for 7 years. Paypal buy now buttons are for single item purchases and a shopping cart for multiple items.

You may want to checkout http://www.payloadz.com/ they let you use their server with their payloadz express service. They intergrate with paypal's IPN so it's transparent (they buyer never sees a paypal screen) and optionally let you list the ebook in their store as well as on ebay.

Then there is also http://www.clickbank.com
They process creditcard payments and return the buyer to a download page you provide. Not the best but it works.

Ebooks are best in PDF format as Adobe Acrobat Reader is free and most everyone has it or can download it.

With Adobe professional version 6 or 7 you can write the ebook in MSWord and convert it to PDF or just in Adobe direct.

createpdf.adobe.com and www.pdfonline.com offer free online conversion to pdf format. The number/size of the files are limited and some place a watermark.
