Web Analytics & Campaign Management Tracking Software

I'm trying to find two types of web analytic & campaign management tracking software for two different clients with different needs, can you please make some recommendations:

1) Client A: B2B company's website that wants to track conversion of email campaigns and keywords when visitors register to receive a free downloadable white paper. Is web-stat.com recommended? If not, anything else?

2) Client B: a new B2C ecommerce company that needs to the typical web site stats and track online campaigns (email, affiliate, keywords) and offline campaigns (direct mail) as well as cart abandonment rate and navigation through the website. I've used HitBox and Omniture. They are too robust for her at this stage. What can you recommend that's not as expensive, but fairly robust. My client may expect many shoppers at the beginning since they will be leveraging large scale direct mail campaigns to drive ecommerce transactions. Is Clicktracks a good altnerative? If not, any other recommendations?

If it's a stats tracking I would suggest you www.urchin.com, or now the free version www.google.com/analytics its pretty easy to add on your site, if its a SEO analysis I would recommend WiseOptimizer.com, get the free demo at free seo tool

Thanks! I've heard of Urchin, but haven't used it first hand. I look into it.

I recommend strongly against Google's analytics. Why let Google see your proprietary conversion data to all of your campaigns (i.e. keywords, emails, banners, etc). This should only be managed in house or by a trusted third party that won't use this data in some way.

I use google analytics for web stats. It provides a lot of useful info although I lack some features (e.g. IP adresses of visitors)or possibility to customize reports.

I track my own advertising with affiliate software. It has a feature to create "virtual affiliate" which make it easy to track clickthrough together with ROI at the same time..

Unless you want to invest in continuing the R&D of your own solution. Google would be the way to go. They say they don't look at the data.

Look at it this way if we ever found out they did. We would all be smiling with a piece of a large class action :-)
