Default shopping cart help please

Hi
I would like to add the BUY facility to a client site www.woodnthings.uk.com wooden toys and party accessories that is very well positioned with google uk
Looking for a affordable solution and found shopassistant.net quite good on that and in particularly I like the fact that integrate with existing websites; also liked the online payment system that make you receive the card details via a secure web based login area and transacts the sales off-line through the normal transaction facility.
HOWEVER I have not used it before and although they saying that "Requires no server-side scripts or programs, except a standard forms e-mail facility" I would like to know from others if it is as easy as that or if there will be complications.
I would like to know some more from someone that used it before or be advise on better options, with the same specification as above.
Many thanks in advance to every one
Ciao
Luisa

You have numerous options:

1. Sign up with PayPal http://www.paypal.co.uk and create your buttons with them.

2. Go to http://www.websell.pipex.net/sales/ and look at their websell software package

3. Use custom ecommerce software to build your site, such as actinic http://www.actinic.co.uk/

4. Look at oneandones eshops service http://www.oneandone.co.uk/

5. Custom code your site

6. Hire a professional

There are many ways with varying costs, it all depends on how many products and how often site will get updated, and what payment methods you want to accept.

Default Shopping Carts

Hi Luisa,

Try JustaddCommerce at http://www.richmediatech.com/

They have a free trial version that can be easily be made active by just paying for the service. So if you try it and like it you won’t loose any of the work you did in the trial period.

I have been using it for several years and find it is easy to use, integrates easily into existing web sites.

It also integrates directly with FrontPage and Dreamweaver,

The only thing I don’t like about it is that there is no inventory tracking for it. However I have yet to find any program that is as easy to use and has an inventory-tracking feature. If you are not selling hundreds of different items, then inventory tracking should not be a big issue anyway.

I design my web sites fee style and hate to be locked into someone’s else’s framework, design, or web hosting as is required by a lot of shopping carts.

You can see how it works to some degree by going to http://www.diva-las-vegas.com and see it in action on one of my web sites. You will notice the total lack of pre made run of the mill formats. However we have number one rankings with all of the top search engines on many of our keywords.

Good luck, I believe that Just Add Commerce is one of the best for simplicity, integration and price, I think it cost about $300.00 a year.

Sincerely,
Michael
