Default Paypal Payments Pro

Hi Ive seen the posting in regards to complaints about paypal which is a bit worrying.
I came in to get some feed back about

Paypal Website Payments Pro https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/websc...erview-outside

Anyone comments on them accepting credit card payments? Are they reliable in the fact that payments go through without any problems?

Default I'm interested as well.

I'm interested as well. We've been considering adding PayPal as a payment option for a while. You'd think we would just drive over to their office (not that far, really) and ask, but we're just too darn busy right now.

Brian.

Keep in mind that Paypal is a pretty large company with quite a few customers. The more customers you get - the more chances you have of making unhappy customers.

A lot of the people do not read the TOS, sign up when they are underage etc and then they complain when Paypal closes their account & freezes their money for 180 days. People will tend to complain more than they will give a compliment. And when you pressure the people asking them specific questions, a lot of times, they cannot answer just because they realize they are in the wrong, but this is money we are talking about.

Remember there are always three sides to every story.

They tend to hold money quicker than most traditional processing banks. The prblem is not always that people aren't in the wrong, it's that after your money is held, they don't have anyone live to talk to and to explain it to their customers. If you do get someone live, they read off of a script.
They are also very expensive. They charge 2.9% plus $.30until you do more than $3000 in one month and then only go down to 2.5% plus $.30. This compared to the 2.2% plus $.25 that can be had at other processors.
