Default VP-ASP shopping cart

Has anyone any knowledge of VP-ASP shopping cart, i have searched for days looking which to choose and this is the one I have ended up thinking looks best, can anyone confirm whether it is any good.

http://www.vpasp.com

It is possible to generate static html pages from the database so I presume it is going to be ok for SEO, that was my main concern. It seems to have pretty much every feature under the sun too and is a one off payment rather than recurring monthly charge.

Anyone who knows anything about this cart i would just like to know their opinion about it.

Thanks

Default

I think that is it possible to create static pages with their add on packages. We had one client that was using that store, but I was not really impressed at all with it. It was a bit hard to modify since most everything was database driven

Default VP-ASP shopping cart

Thanks, actually I posted this a while back and since already bought it a few days ago now, with the static html addon. I havent started the site yet i guess i will look out this thread and say how it goes after I have done it because I am quite hopeful.

I am hoping it wont be too hard to modify, that I can simply add products to the database, create the static html pages and just replace any new ones, rather than reuploading the whole site each time.

So if it is any good I think it will be a great option because it has features that I could only find in the "pay per month for one off site" deals, and this is reusable on any number of sites and is a one off payment.

But I wil have to wait and see, so fingers crossed.

Default using vp-asp too

hi there, my company's using vp-asp now, and for pretty much the same reasons as yours, plus it offered multi-language support, which we thought we might eventually use.

we missed this this static page generation feature completely, but it would be something we'd want to try out soon. based on the notes on the vp-asp site, this feature can only show basic fields, so if you have lots of extra information stored across various 'extra' fields that they give, this may be a bit of an issue.

generally i find that the cart is relatively easy to use IF you keep to the default layout they give. otherwise, it may take a bit of time to rework the pages as they have code for one page spread across many pages sometimes.

if you'd like to take a look at what we've done with the cart, it's selling women's and men's underwear. www.veryyummy.com
