Where Do I Start?

I'd like to start up a little dating site for my area but don't really know where to start. Obviously I will need to be able to have profiles for people, personals, a member and guest sections as well as lots of content and cool features.

I'm in the research phase right now and have tons of questions....

Will I need a 'specialty' host or can I go anywhere? How can I build the site (from scratch, using editor, specialty software, etc)? How do I get all the features like 'chat' and 'forum'? Basically, where do I start?

It would be nice if there was a company dedicated to building and hosting dating sites!

You can basically start with just about any hosting company that will support your code (script) actually. Just keep an eye out on the use of your website and when it starts to grow, locate a dedicated server.
