I have a great idea for a new website in a niche market, problem is, i'm not a coder. Can anyone suggest a place where i can create an online store without any knowledge of html? Thanks, Darryl Goudreau

yes yahoo would be a great place because you could use their yahoo site builder to creat your site. But i suggest you at least learn how to use microsoft front page which will not take any more then a month or so to learn, and in most cases less time. If you are serious about making an online store you must learn as much as you can about e-commerce, which means first thing is you should learn html.

Cube Cart. Free but you can buy a license for $69.00 although not necessary. Support is first rate.

I built mine with store builder software through a company called Stores Online. I love it and it was extremely easy to use. I had very limited computer skills, no web building skills or knowledge, and my stores have become quite successful which I attribute to their software and features. I have since learned some html and javascript, (they have basics in their built in tutorials, plus they have so much other needed info and links to things you need to know), and I have learned how to do some customization to the back end files which is awesome. The best thing about it is that it has everything I need for my online store already interfaced and I can control just about everything. I used one of their templates but you can build your pages in FrontPage or Dreamweaver and upload them into the back end to have your own custom look. They also have a certain amount of programming you get with each store builder if you want a programmer to build your store. |
