receiving credit card payment on my website

Hi,

I plan to enter into ebook business, I've written my ebook. I've created my website. I've created my ecover. I'm now discussing with ebook creation software provider but my problem now is that I'm in Nigeria where most of the reliable third merchant account handlers do not enlist on their form.

Can anybody advice me on what I should do to accept credit card on my website?

I shall be grateful for your kind assistance.

I hate to be the messenger of bad news, but as far as I can tell there is no reputable third party processing company in the world that will allow merchants from Nigeria.

I think an acquiring bank from Nigeria or Africa might be able to help you, if they have any.

I agree with MichelH. You're pretty well out of luck on that.

Your country doesn't exactly have a spotless record when it comes to online credit card fraud, due to the large number of 419 scams and things. What will make it more difficult for you is that you don't provide a hard product.

You will have to find a merchant bank to provide you with a merchant account (which will be very difficult as well), and then get the payment processing separate.

Nigeria is the most fraud intensive country on the planet and credit card fraud is omnipresent. I think you will have a better chance partnering with someone in another country then acquiring a credit card processing account.
