Default Anyone use Oscommerce??

Anyone use Oscommerce??

If so, we are looking for a module that will allow us to email a promotional discount code or offer to our customers, such as $10 off a $100 purchase.

Can you help?

David

PS: Our Oscommerce version was installed in 2003.

There is an entire forum dedicated to OS Commerce.

IMO oscommerce has the worst support of any free cart. I use Cube Cart and am quite happy with it. It is easier to setup and configure and has an excellent support network.

Note that osCommerce has had no updates in over 2 years. CubeCart is easier to install and does way more.

If you are set on the osCommerce look and setup, go with Zen Cart. Zen Cart is a fork and fixed all the vurnerabilities and has nearly ever feature you would need in a cart. It is activly being supported and developed. It has has several releases over the last year and the next version is 1.3 and it is a total new rewrite and has no osC code in it.

I agree that the OSCommerce support forum is terrible. I was originally trying to use OSCommerce for one of my sites, and gave up after I couldn't get help when I needed it. When I tried to find a freelancer who could help with assistance, I got a nasty e-mail about not using the forum to find paid help, and that I should use the forum instead. When I used the forum for a legitimate technical question, I couldn't get an answer.
