Hi, i have been considering getting into dropshipping, selling on my website and ebay etc. Does anyone have any experience at this? Are the profit margins good, which are the best products to sell etc?

Many Thanks

Default Hi, Dropshipper here...

Hi, I dropship FULL TIME for a living with 60% of my products going through ebay.

Altough there are many people dropshipping on ebay, the key is to find a niche. I sell childrens climbing frames, paddling pools etc. stuff like that, and it does very well. My mark up can be anywhere from 25% to 60%.

Some dropshippers are better than others and this can only be established through trial and error.

The source I use for dropship wholesalers is from here, I cant recommend it highly enough:

Default Takes a little work

I think some of the drop ship directories are very good but don't let them decide what you will drop ship. Find your niche market and then do the legwork by contacting manufactureres or service providers to see if you can work out a drop ship arrangement.

I will admit that my experience in drop shipping was initially limited to mainly being a dropshipper myself for a particualar niche market but that was because my customers asked for this.

Only recently we started dropshipping some products we can't produce in-house mainly to supplement some of our sales but it took me some time and effort to find the company that could work with us.

Any business willing to see the potential should work with you as long as you provide a clear and concise business method in getting their product out there.

It hit me kinda funny that the original poster and the original reply both joined within minutes of each other and this was their first post.

I'm not all that bright, but the original poster must think we are all turnip-cart rubes. Put those credit cards away!!

Gaaaawwwwlllleeeeee Andy!!!!!
