Default E-commerce Solutions - Suggestions?

Hi-

We are currently looking at moving some of our sites to a new E-commerce solution. We have quite a few requirements, but not a big budget. Some of the possibilities: Volusion, NetSuite, and Actinic - does anyone have experience with any of these? NetSuite might be above our budget and appears to be a more complete solution (accounting, etc.).

Any other suggestions? I'd strongly prefer to use a system that generates static pages.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

There are many options:

MultiCards
2CheckOut
WorldPay
CCNow

just to name a few third party processing companies. Or would you rather have your own merchant account? What is the location of your business?

Yahoo might be your best choice.

As far as static pages go I believe that Xcart can generate a static page web store. It is compatible with multiple payment gateways. If you already have or don't mind getting a separate merchant account then this may be your best bet.

You might try a search for this and see what comes up. Might be worth checking into this and maybe posting what you found so others can say if they had any experince with any of them what the scoop on them are.

Thanks for the input. We already have one of our sites at a Yahoo! store and there are too many limitations, so we'd like to find an option that is a step up.

We also have our own credit card processing setup.

Does anyone have an example of a live store on X-cart that is theirs or one of their customers? If you do, it would be great if you could share your experience.

I'm continuing to research options and will share what I find.

Thanks Bruce & Donald.

It doesn't appear either of your products would be a good fit for us. Bruce, we would need several licenses making it cost prohibitive. Donald, we have more than 2,000 products.

I use a custom build of osCommerce with over 30 contributions. It is oscmax plus a few of my own mods. It uses templates & css. Lot of admin features. You can upload your inventory as a tab delimited text file.

The latest version 5 of BazaarBuilder ecommerce software ( www.bazaarbuilder.com) should be able to meet your requirements. It will create you individual static pages for each of your products which can be optimised for search engines.

Good luck!

Our solution dynamicaly creates "static pages". fits well into a small budget and is more capable than netsuite.

What are your thoughts?
