Default Do i need a shopping cart?

Hi all,
Ive never made an ecommerce site before and am unsure about payment stuff. Im making a site that sells 8 online training courses. I dont really want a shopping basket type option when visitors can add and remove products as the chances are that visitors will only be purchasing a single course. So really all i want is a 'buy now' button that links to a payment gateway. Who can i use for this? All i want is to use a service provider that i can pass through in a form the price of the product, the product code and the product name. From here the provider should handle all of the secure payment and offer some mechanism to confirm payment. Sorry if im sounding a little stupid here but ive never done this before.

Thanks, Chris.

Chris,
You do not need a shopping cart, but is 8 products the max you will ever sell?
If no, why not get started properly, with a cart.
If so, Paypal.com offer a button you can paste into your code, and after they send payment to paypal, they can be redirected to a page to download your kit, or back to a page letting them know you got the order and you will ship soon.
2checkout.com is another.
Good luck.
Hey, if you are interested in a low cost, easy to use shopping cart, let me know.
I have a demo of a cart I can walk you through.
Talk soon,
Tim

Default PayPal Invoice System

PayPal also has an invoicing system that may be of value to you. Once you receive and email confirming the order, log into your PayPal account and click on the "request money" link and send an invoice. I have found this to be very effective on one of my personal sites. Good luck........eric

Basically any Merchant Provider will do.
They will tell you what variables are needed to pass on to their servers, usually through the use of a form on your site

Default Gateway Shopping Carts

Several gateways provide mini shopping carts for their clients that don't need full-blown systems. For example, YourPay.com has a shopping cart and you can get your merchant account from one of FirstData's many member banks. The cost of YourPay.com is only $15.00 per month with no transaction fees regardless of the number of transactions you have.

Check out http://www.emerchantsgroup.com for information on rates. You can also talk to Corey Bryant and get his advice on the options available.
