Default Help Please! Shopping Cart Suggestions

Hi
We are currently seeking to change our our shopping cart to something more admin friendly. The reason i say this is that we have many numerous sites which sell the same products, each website has its own individuallity, templates, meta tags etc. Can anyone recommend a high quality shopping cart that is database driven. The reason being that if we need to add, delete or change pricing structures of items, the change in the database impliments across all websites. I should also add all these websites are hosted on our own webservers and we can run either mysql or SQL database, SQL being the prefered choice.

Hope you can help

As long as your requirements aren't too complicated, I would go with OSCommerce. They integrate with just about every payment system out there, and it should have all of the features that you are looking for.

Oscommerece is great if you know PHP... if you don't, you could be spending month and month without getting anywhere.

this is an excellent point - all too often the assumption is made that people are programmers.

I would dare to suggest that most are not in this forum, and that perhaps off the shelf solutions are those most keenly sought.

I will also go out on a limb and say that sites by programmers often look and interact like sites by programmers - all 'functionality' with the marketing and sales aspects often overlooked becuase most focus is on the coding

Just my thoughts.....

I don't know what your requirements are, but the most powerful shopping cart that I know of is called Bug-Mall. bug-mall.com . Good Luck
