Default Selling a Publication Digitally Online

I am a part-time web designer, and have a client selling her novel online. We use PayPal to accept CC payments.

She wants to publish her next novel digitally, and to deliver the product to the consumer over the web. I used to see a lot of hype about people buying and selling e-books online, but I have never seen a decent explanation of how it is accomplished.

Is this practical, or was it a passing fad? How does it work, or does it?

Thanks!

A few clients have used something from www.sitetutor.com, but if you are actually wanting only Paypal, check out: http://www.payloadz.com/

Thanks Corey,

I can't find anything relevant to selling digital products on SiteTutor, but PayLoadz seems to be right on the mark.

Anytime. They are not advertising that just yet actually. Probably by the first of the year though. Good luck with it!

You might consider one of the largest online book publishers, iUniverse.

Also, Amazon.com will allow you to sell your book on their site, as well.

Sure, you can publish and sell a e-book in PDF format, but publishing it using iUniverse or Amazon gives the book some more 'credibility' if that's possible. I would make sure that whatever you do, you get an ISBN number for the book.
