Default How are you gearing up for Holidays ?

How are you gearing up for the Holidays ?

I have one ecommerce site that I'm currently looking after.

I've started slowly with Google's Adwords and will slowly begin to increase it over the next week or so
I'm about to send out a newsletter to current customers, and
Doing the link exchange thingy

And you ?

Default A bit late, isn't it?

Isn't this a bit late to start scaling up? We've been doing that for the past 2 months. Link exchanges would have had their best effect to have been done at least a month ago, because this is already the peak of the holiday shopping season. We've got 2 more weeks of peak, then people assume that they have to buy at stores to ensure delivery by the holiday.

We've already sent out 2 newsletters, with a 3rd in the works. Some of the sites I get newsletters from have had as many as 6 out already.

If you're just getting this stuff done, it may be a bit too little too late.

I hope I'm wrong, but that's what our history has shown.

Brian.

Well, in my case, this site is actually fairly new (couple months). So as usual, coding and tightening up the ship is foremost, before doing major promotions. We've been link-building since day 1.

But I'm just wondering what others are doing? or have done?

I have been doing some research on how you can prepare your ecommerce website for the holidays.

You can read the article here:
