Default Is it possible to connect OScommerce to credit card terminal

Hi,
I have recently installed OScommerce on my server.
I used to accept credit cards through an HTML form that stream details of the crdit cards, experation date, etc' to a gateway that streaming back the confirmation of the payment.

Is it possible to connect the OScommerce to my gateway? (Just need to set an action that will send the details to the gateway...)

THank,

Sure, it's possible.
Depending on which gateway. There could already be a payment module for it already.
If not, then a custom one will have to be created.

Thank you cyanide!
unfortunately there isn't a module that can connect with my gateway.

I'm tring for about a week to create my own custom module but with out any success...

I know all the details that I should send in streaming (form action, CardNumber, Exp.Month, Exp.Year, etc'...) and the response code that I should get:

<?php

if ($_REQUEST['Response'] == "000")
{
echo "Transaction approved";
}
else
{
echo "Transaction rejected";
}

?>

My main problem is that I don't know where all these details should be placed in the module page...

Can anyone help me with that issue?

I don't claim to be an expert in gateway programming, so I won't even try to sort that one out. However, you could post a thread in the freelance work needed forum and I'm sure 100 or more people would jump at the question. You could also look on freelance sites and maybe post a project for bids. Custom writing a module for a cart isn't as easy as it sounds, you might get it to look like it's working, but leave a security hole or something lol.

What electronic payment gateway are you using? A credit card terminal is used to swipe credit cards, it is not meant to handle internet transactions

I'm using an Israeli company's gateway that called: "Tranzila".
This gateway is ment for online transactions. I succeed using this gateway with a regular HTML form that I built, but I think for the php version I will go on brendgard advice and publish it for freelance work.

You might also contact Tranzila to see if they have a PHP solution. Most gateways offer this to help sell their product. A quick search on osCommerce unfortunately yielded no results.

You also might post something in the osCommerce. Someone might have already developed it & they just have not posted it
