Default need credit card processing

Im new to this board. I am starting a vacation rentals business and I really need to get credit card processing. We are renting out our vacation home while we are not there. Its hard to find a place that will accept us due to our nature of business...travel. Does anyone have any suggestions? We are also considering 3rd party processing. We can not use paypal because we will not have the credit card info which we will be holding for security deposits.
thanks
Jennifer

Simple! All you need to do is setup a shopping cart or secure form handler and use that to collect your buyers info. Then once your buyer submits their order they will be redirected to a 'Order being Confirmed' page and thats when you get a email saying an order has been placed and you simple loggin to your admin of your shopping cart or gather the information from the secure form and manual input each order with 2checkout.com.
To keep you looking professional create a client-email@address.com because you will need to enter in an email address for your client. Once you complete entering the user info and billing info and you receive your confirmation message from your merchant to the client-email@address.com that you created you then can send your client their confirmation from you as your company. This will enable you to manually bill your clients when ever you need and 2checkout.com offers monthly and yearly recurring billing.
I hope any of this helps. Just a quick brain storm I had that would enable you to manually bill your clients without the hassle and expense of gateway software or terminals.
I have never done this method but I have know clients and other webmasters who needed to do this untill they had the budget to afford authorize.net.

Good luck and if I can be of any further help to you just PM me or email me via jjersey@we-serv-u.net

Thanks WeServUNetworks,

this is basically what I had in mind. The problem however that I'm running into is that hardly anybody will allow "travel". It's considered high-risk. 2checkout has it listed under restricted businesses.
The only thing I've gotten so far is a processor that wants 15% of the sale. Yeah right.

Do you have working website?
Where are you from?
Do you have a company in Europe Union?

Hi,

there are plenty more options than 2Checkout. Okay, they are one of the cheapest third party processing companies, but not the best in service and just like you said: They can't allow everything. Don't think that you are stuck with the 15% now just because of the travel related business that you are in. Most companies will be able to offer you a rate around 6% and a Rollover Reserve of 10%. You can also check the company in my signature.
