Default Appointment booking and billing

I have had a potential client who runs a driver testing facility and he is looking to add an online booking and payment feature so that testees can book an appointment and pay for it at the time of booking.

Does anyone know if there is a "shopping cart/scheduler" like this already available. Preferable PHP/MySQL compatible, but I am not too picky at this point.

Thanks

Rob

I am a little unclear about whether this is an on-line client or not? If he has a website nearly all webhosts are compatable with Authorizenet and then he just needs a merchant account. There are other merchants who work in the field or at tradeshows and use the same configuration. In those cases they just use Authorizenet as a virtual terminal at the time an order is placed. You can do this if wireless internet is available or if they have a laptop and a cel phone. Many cel providers e.g. Verizon allow you to use your cel phone as a modem and gain internet access that way. Is your client a US or CA client?

My client is a CA client. He has had an independant person build his site and I do not know what his hosting service has or doesn't have.

I am not overly concerned about remote terminals, but rather an application that will allow people to book a time slot for testing and guarantee it with a payment at the same time. I suppose much like a hotel reservation.

Do you know of any applications like this?

Sorry, this is not my field of expertise.

Only PHP? I know of an ASP solution actually. Is each appointment have only one client?

Well, i will take a look at the ASP one, though I am not familiar enough with ASP.

Is there a link or something you can direct me to. Yeah, I think each appoint has only one client. Not 100% sure... it might, at most, have 3 in a one hour time slot. 3 testees + tester in the vehicle.

thanks

Rob
