Hi Roger,

Well, yes, it's not so easy to make some coin on the Internet, whether it's affiliate or ecommerce.

The key to becoming a successful affiliate is by having a nicely constructed website that is informative and user-friendly. You seem to have the informative part.
The rest needs work

1. I expect the links on the left to direct me to other pages of your site, but instead am annoyed by being directed to other sites.

2. Your pages are tooooo long. I almost broke my wheel mouse trying to scroll. This is not user-friendly

3. Ditch the text following the cursor. Again, annoying

4. What is Kitty Hawk Press anyway? Making visitors guess at what/who you are is not helping.

5. Affiliates that make good money, take the time to build a 'professional', well-organized, structured website, with good, quality content and affiliate products that are relevant to the content

It's not easy making money on the web but it is possible.

Try to follow a few of the following tips:

1. Keep your affiliate offerings relevant to the rest of the content on your site.

2. Regularly update your offerings and rotate your banners.

3. Place your ads in prominent positions.

4. Analyse your sales to see which products/services are doing well on your site and concentrate on these in the most popular positions.

5. Perserverance

At the end of the day, Point 5 is probably the most important and broadest. Keep at it and regularly add new content to your site. You'll do fine.

Good luck

You can make money on the web but like everything else you need to do your research first to see what's in demand. I have 2 philosophies that I go by when doing any kind of business:

1. Enter a business that is in high demand, this requires some research;

2. Enter a business that you are passionate about and believe in whole heartedly because your drive, determination, hard work and creativity will make it a success!

Hopes that helps,
