Default Warning!

I have come back here today to warn everyone about a company I have had dealings with. The company name is Opticommerce. You can find them at www.opticommerce.com. I began dealing with this company as a potential client, and then the owner Mr. Mills talked me into his service (which appears to be a wonderful e commerce solution). He then also talked us into getting the whole site design... so I agreed. That's when the trouble began. The site was put up with multiple errors such as wrong logos, spelling errors, grammar errors, missing pages, no pictures, bad navigational system, e commerce did not work right away, layout was awful, ect... I then emailed Mr. Mills of these issues, he promised and promised to get them done, NOTHING! At one point I BEGGED him to finish the site... he then changed a few minor things. Later on I found out of other miss-dealings Mr. Mills had encountered. OVER $40,000.00 that he had ripped people off! I could not believe it! I then asked for a refund... He said NO WAY! When I first began dealing with him he said if I were not happy with the site that I would get a 100% refund... now I get nothing! This man has ripped people off promising of these so-called "e commerce" solutions which are all bogus. I just wanted to warn the general public about this company Opticommerce, and its owner Jon Mills. Please beware!!!!!! Any further questions please reply I will fill you in on anything else I know!

If you feel thjere has been criminal activity contact the district attorney where the business is based and file a complaint. There may be many others complaints filed of a similar nature and that may prompt action on your behalf.

Actually the CC companies are cracking down a lot more. Each issuing bank is different. One of our clients had a problem with hosting - he paid for one year. He did not want their service anymore. They refused to refund so I told him to do a chargeback. His issuing bank said they do not do anything over 60 days, even for poor service unfortunately.

By visa/MC policy you have 180 days from the date the transaction was settled to do a chargeback. It doesn't seem like a Card Issueing company could over rule this. This undermines the whole system of credit card processing and customers rights. I will be really mad if you cant charge it back.

That is what I told him. But trying to get someone at Visa to actually listen to a complaint of that nature pretty much falls on deaf ears. He just decided to use them for another website & forget about trying to fight it anymore.
