Default Paysystems rejecting Amex orders - beware

Another Paysystems frustration this week.

They are rejecting any Amex orders due to a 'technical issue'. This is now 8 days old. I just lost an important order yesterday because the client wanted to use Amex and had their transaction rejected.

Paysystems technical staff seems very slow to react to things even though it is costing their customers money. Meanwhile they have increased their fees to Canadian customers by charging 2.50 for every cheque and no set date for direct deposit integration.

Has anyone with Canadian bank account found a good reliable, online payment processor, please let me know.

Thanks,

Steve

Im not sure about Paysystems, but as far as AMEX goes, Paysystems has no control over AMEX, and they have to wait for AMEX to be turned on, both with amex and with the processing bank that they have signed you to. This can take from about 7 days to about 2 weeks, depending on how fast everything goes through the system. Although it is uncommon to take more than 7 days, it can take more. It may not be Paysystems fault at all, but it may be an issue with AMEX or the processing bank.
