Default Our Newsletter

Could anyone advise us on the following

We are a small estate agency english based but working from Spain. We have for a long time now been sending a Newsletter out via Outlook Express to our list of just over 3000 contacts who have asked us to keep them updated with new property that comes on the market. We used to send one to our own e mail address and the following 3000 via bcc. Now owing to we presume the large amount of viruses around, both Telefonica.net and terra.es have stopped us sending out. We have also tried using G-Lock Software\G-Lock EasyMail Pro but this has also failed as Telefonica have presumed that we are sending out spam which we are not. The machine that we send out on works on Windows 98. Can anyone please suggest, preferably FreeWare, a programme that will allow us to get around these problems. We are now in the stupid position where clients are asking why have we taken them off the newsletter list when the truth is we cannot fathom out how to send out anymore and yet we still succeed in receiving almost 1000 spam e mails a day onto our system. Nearly all of them rubbish. What has happened to us genuine people who want to send out? PLEASE PLEASE can anyone help. We by the way are not very technical in this office so easy phraseology please.

Default Your newsletter

Because of the spam problems, more and more hosts are clamping down on the high volume use of SMTP servers.

I'd recommend trying a hosted service, such as http://www.emailhosts.com

It will save you tons of time and effort and you can automatically have the users unsubscribe/signup to your list.

I have a newsletter program written in ASP that uses JMail, CDONTs, and afew otther APS form handling. If you can use ASP on your website you are welcome to try that.

If your email program can support authenticated SMTP (most do) use AuthSMTP - http://www.authsmtp.com

We have a 30,000 person (all opt-in!!) mailing list and we send it through them. The bonus is they also virus scan the outgoing mail and mail delivery has always been very quick.
