Default Company trademark alerts for domain buys?

Do anyone know a way for us to monitor and be alerted to someone buying a domain (any TLD from across the world) with an company trademark? For example, if someone bought mycompany.cc - how could we be alerted to it happening?

Sheesh, that was hard to find or maybe I took the long way around to get to finding one.
1. Try this
Mark Alert Service - Trademark and brand protection for domain names

Membership costs are here DomainTools Memberships

2. Here was another one
Not sure how good it is though. It is probably quite expensive here.

The quickest, easiest, and possibly even cheapest solution is to make a list of all the TLDs with your company name that you care about, and buy them yourself.

I mean, if you found out that NewsCorp bought yourdomain.ie, what would you do about it?

True Rob. I was just looking at alert solutions for ideas as well as trademarks.

Remember getting a TLD in different countries is not as simple as buying a $10 domain. In some countries it takes thousands of dollars to get set up.

Were you contacted by those guys from China claiming someone wants to register a .cn domain with your company name in it?

You should also take a look at trademark and copyright laws in the country responsible for the TLD's - they may not be the same as in the US.

Prime example is Geoffrey The Evil Giraffe and their "R-US" trademarks. In the UK and Australia they have had great difficulties keeping the "windows-r-us" type names from getting trademark approvals.

If you can reasonably assert domain squatting or some other nefarious thing, there is always WIPO. It costs $5k but really does work - we've been on both sides of it.

It might not be relevant here, but I use Google Alerts to keep myself updated with my company / domain name updates on the internet.

That would be a good idea and costing nothing to do. Of course that also means waiting for it to become a site and show up in listings.

ActiveCo and anybody else that may know - is that Chinese company for real? NameBrandSolutions.com

I've had my domain name for over 10 years and they act like they can just take it!

Yes - many replies up DomainTools.com was mentioned. I use that. It even reports when "I" register domains
