Default Godaddy to take ownership of your domain if...

this is a quote from an educational manuscript of a very famous Internet marketer "They (Godaddy.com) are the only service I know that will take ownership of your domain if you get a spam complaint."

Wow! Is that true?

I was checking Godaddy.com legal notes - saw nothing like this. But the marketer proves it might happen if some of your affiliates sends a spam - and he is a famous person, I think a lot of people even in this community use his solution and I don't think he will venture his reputation with blatant lies.

Mike Filsaime purchased instantbuzz.com from Mike Chen back in March 2005 and I don't remember exactly how long it was down but instantbuzz.com was down for a very long time. I'd be curious to know how much it ending up costing Mike Filsaime but according to his newsletter, ( .pdf file ) http://www.mikefilsaime.com/mikefils...erJune2005.pdf , Godaddy shut down his new site because of a single SPAM complaint. If I remember right, as far as Godaddy was concerned, Mike Chen was the owner of instantbuzz.com and would only deal with him. The problem was that Mike Chen was on vacation and no one could get in touch with him. I guess Godaddy gives 24 hours (If I remember right) to respond to a SPAM complaint or they shut you down. A very hard lesson to learn. I have no personal knowledge of the situation and I'm only going by what was being said at the time but it sure does make you wonder. If a site that big can be shut down overnight regardless of the loss or financial damage then what about the rest of us?
