I dont think those asking prices are unreasonable at all. (maybe a bit high wholesale -like here at wpw pro2pro- but definitely good reatil prices - maybe even very low)
Remember, you cant get more than what you ask for so. Good luck. The key is to find the right buyers.
It is very frustrating for the average Joe to come up with a good dn these days.
lenght in my opinion is not that bad. Especially if dont plan to rely on offline and "real word" of mouth. Naturally shorter is better but I rather take 2-3 letter longer .com that 2-3 letter shorter .biz or whatever.
The main point is relevancy and memorability. (if thats a word)
For example DomainShakespeare is and awfully long domain name but it does describe what I do... I have
www.URLguru.com and lots of versions of Domain/url copywriter type domains to but DomainShakespeare is more interesting and intriguing. I call it click-curiosity-factor.
Some good names there. Dont be discouraged.
