Default Need reliable, cheap and fast domain registry - who?

I just had a rather bad experience, where I registered a domain name that came up as available in this outfit's domain search gizmo, they took my dang money, then, when I asked them two days later why I hadn't heard a thing, they told me it had been registered THE DAY BEFORE by someone else. I received this info first thing this morning, immediately requested a full refund and have yet to receive it. Needless to say I will not be using this outfit again.

Anyone got any good recommendations?

Sure,
I recommend 1&1 internet, have been with them for about 3 years now without a problem ! Prices are the cheapest I have seen ... There is also netfirms which offer pretty cheap domains however i'm not sure if the options are as thorough as the 1&1 Internet services...

Feel free to post back if you have a question !

Thanks, I'll give 1&1 a try, their price is definitely fair. I just hope their tie-in with the registries is faster than APlus.net (who has still not refunded my money . . .)
