Frank Dietrich, of Natural Foods, Inc., has recently acquired the following .US domain names; Foods.us ($20,000), GourmentFoods.us ($10,750), OrganicFoods.us ($10,000), WholeFoods.us ($10,000), NaturalFoods.us ($3,002), Herb.us ($2,500), Protein.us ($2,500), Onion.us ($1,800), GiftBasket.us ($1,450), Nuts.us ($1,250), ShrinkWrap.us ($775), TVP.us ($775).

Rumor has it he is still not finished buying .US domain names.

What does everybody think about this? Does anybody have any .US domain names?

I think it has less to do with the .us extention and more to do with the high level of common words in the domain name. Typically your one to two worded domain names are considered more valuable.
