Default Yahoo! Offers $2 Domains

Yahoo! has dropped the price of their domain registration service to $1.99, the second price drop in a few months after Yahoo!’s original offer of $9.95 was slashed to $4.95.

The offer includes all of the most popular domain name extensions .com, .net, .org, .biz, .info, and .us, registered for up to 5 years.

The price does not include Private Domain Registration however that helps protect domain owners from spammers using the WHOIS database to reach them. Private registration costs $9.00.

Yes, they have been promoting this heavily. Unfortunately, it is valid for one domain only, per person. If you are like me, I try to keep all of my domains with one registrar, not multiple domains with multiple registrars.

However, this is good for people who want a cheap registration to place a personal site on, or simply don't mind using multiple registrars.

Hmmm.... it shows $9.95 to me as well?

I've tried different international versions of Yahoo, but the small business domain offer is only on that page - at $9.95 as I see it.

Default Temporary promo

It was just a promo for a few days. Basically they want to make their presence known as a new domain reseller and now they are selling it at their normal price once again.

Default Yahoo Domains

If you type the search "yahoo domains" on Google you can still get them for $4.95. Be careful because they are also selling them at $9.95 for people who don't know about the 50% off promotion.

You can buy more than one domain, but I had to do it separately. During the $2 sale I went through the checkout process 12 times for 12 different domains.
