mydomain.com - A "Birdnest on the Ground"

Someone had real insight when they bought mydomain.com . Seems as though everyone uses that example in, Sites, Forums, Blogs and Articles without thinking to check and see if it is an active Site.

Guess what? - It is!, and they have 23,000 GOOGLE IBLs and many more in YAHOO.

Someone picked up a "Birdnest on the Ground" there.

I agree - smooth one there, and as a registrar site, it makes a good brand sense, too. (One) WHOIS notes registration in 2000, wonder if that's truly the first time it was picked up?

If so, I am really upset I bought a bunch of throwaway domains in that same era, argh.
