I read somewhere that a domain beginning with "1" would be a good choice for top listings in directories!

I can understand the logic behind this but are there more negatives rather than positives with this kind of domain?

There seems to be a lot of top domains still available if you don't mind having a 1 in front!

Which is best?
1website.com
1-website.com

1website.com is the better name. It reads "one website dot com" rather than the slightly cumbersome "one-dash-website-dot-com" if you were to say it to somebody.

"1" names can be intersting. I once sold 1SW.com for a nice sum of money.

OK, that makes sence!

Is it a better domain from a directory point of view?

Anyone else had experiences/ views with 1???
