Hello,
There is a domain name in my industry that I want to buy. The site is www.kimberleybc.net and it is stagnant. After I buy it, I want to redirect it to www.kimberleycondos.com Would this be considered a "mirror site", and more importantly isn't this one of the "don't" with regards to SEO. I would likely dump the domain name after a year or so, but want to redirect any traffice from it to my site. Any help on this would be much appreciated. K |

Agreed,
In google a 301 redirect would work fine. As far as yahoo is concerned, as long as you never link to the redirected domain you should be OK. If you link to the domain and keep continuing to do so, Yahoo see's that you are trying to promote that site along with the other site. Since they're essentially the same site because of the redirect.... Duplicate Sites = Bad |
