Best Domain Name

My current website is www.JacobsEnterprises.org. I want to change the name to something that better reflects my content, which Personal Home Security and Self Defense items. I thought of GlobalPersonalSecurity.Org, but something already has this site. I considered the option of taking the .Net domain, or going with a dash; Global-Personal-Security.Org? Recommendations? Thank you much!

Personally, I would try to use a dot com name for a business, rather than a .org that normally is used for non-profit agencies. IMO dashes aren't the best idea. They may give search engine ranking, but your word of mouth advertising could suffer because of the hyphen. We don't naturally use dashes in words, and you stand a chance of sending your customers to the non-hyphenated domain site.

Why not try to find an alternate .com domain for your business? A quick check of available .com's showed these to be available:

transglobalsecurity.com

homesecurityitems.com

personalsecurityitems.com

personalsecurityathome.com

Try your luck finding a .com to use. I think you'll be better off.

Yeah I too suggest you to find alternate .com domain for your business, domain with hyphen are good for SEs but not for ppl, I think getting a .com domain is best option for u.

3 letter acronyms are the best and highest traffic domains, But for what its worth you would have to buy from a reseller as they are all gone in all the major TLDs
