How Many Undeveloped Domains Do You Own
How many domain-aholics have we here?
I'm recovering ... down to 70 plus from about twice that many.
Plan to cut about half of the remaining ones.
I bought a boatload of exact match (for highly searched and highly competitive)names under the .us extension on opening day. Trouble is, most have a live site under the .com extension.
I've a business consultant friend who knew nothing of names other than .net .com and .org.
I try to stay away from domain forums ... they cost me more names.
:)

Hi Kim,
My list is fast depleting. I have about 24 now. Have sold quite a number of my domains to indiciduals and companies. Looking to acquire more domains.
Is there a domain-aholics anonymous? :)

I've got about 10 - 20 right now. I have plans for all of them, because I dont buy to sell.
I just wish I had more time to develop them how I originally intended too.
Oh well.

No. We dont allow the posting of domains for sale right now. From what we have seen from many other forums on the net, it attracts a lot of spammers, and adds a lot of unnecessary un-relevent content to the forum.

My Name Is KeywordGuy And I'm A Domainaholic
I've cut back from 600 or so domains to around three hundred and fifty. While I typically try to purchase domains I want to develop, I recently purchased several I want to resell.
I wish there was more opportunity in the forum to share ideas and match up skill sets, etc. for projects. Here's something I'm going to try as I had several calls last year requesting internship opportunities... I'm working on submitting some of my key domains to local colleges / university business / Internet departments to see if there are any students that would like develop a domain(s) as an internship project. If the project turns into something substantial, I would gladly cut the school and the intern in on any profits the site made.
Broken record... ideas that don't get developed are just ideas.

Undeveloped Domains
My first domain was registered in 1998, and I've been trying to quit since then. I'm now at 44 or 45 domains total. 10 developed and the rest not. My high was 62 and the low 28.
keywordguy, I'm also investigating the internship program. There's a lot of good info on the net to tell you how to get started and what's expected. It appears to be quite easy to do.

I've got 210 approximately
Most of mine are snowflake domains...go figure! Mostly I purchased them because I wanted to develop them all!
Have just started in my quest to sell most.
I just got a really lousy (paid-for) appraisal at Sedo.com. They didn't even use good comparables and their appraisal came in much, much lower than the free one available on this forum (if only I'd looked there before parting with my cash!!)
Where have you guys been most successful at selling? Which companies?

...and?
I am not sure what you are communicating to me. That my domains are worthless? Probably some are.
Or are you just making a general "oh my gosh" comment about the amount of domain names I listed?

Undeveloped Domains
Hi snowflakegirl,
I think nakulgoyal is referring to his domain names, not yours. You didn't list any 3 character domains, and good luck to him with his.
Your snowflake brand is good and would be easy to market. You might investigate obtaining a trademark for "snowflake" offering the services related to your domains. It's a very brandable word.
Good luck,

5000 plus
Good places to sell domains that dont cost you a cent.
namepros.com Typically wholesale prices as most people there are resellers not many end users, You can also use sedo, afternic, there are hundreds best ROI i find is sedo and their park service. But I do use others. To compare is really hard because each domain attracts different traffic but overall Sedo.

I have 11 domains, and not sure what to do with half.
I don't see how some of you do it, with so many domains. I mean, finding time to develop them all, or either waiting to sell -- meanwhile renewing them. Must be a heck of a monthly bill just renewing domains, unless this is really your bread and butter.
I salute yall.

buy in sets
I tend to buy domains in sets:
ejrs.com .net .org .biz .info .us
discuses.com .net .org .biz .info .us
This makes it possible to stop others from building up a site with a similar name that could potentially take away from my site.

About 80, down from 400+ at one stage, and then I stopped "letting ones go" when I saw domains I once had being developed.
I have 6 sites, and every domain name I have is a generic name or product - with search engine appeal.
My problem is getting time for development.
