Default Where do I go?

Is there a site that I can go to and see how much my current domain, or any other, is worth at the moment?

Can I post there even if I don't want to sell it?
I just want to find its current value.

Yes, Justin that is what the appraisal forum is for. NO one can give you the exact worth but we will give you feedback if anyone has any ideas on the value.

go to http://www.networksolutions.com. Do a search on the domain in question. When the result comes up as taken, click on the link "make a certified offer", then on the right under the "enter offer box" you will see another box which says "select an answer" Select NO and it will give you a value as to it's worth in regards to traffic etc. Whether or not you'd get this amount for your domain is unknown.

Thanks. I had a look at them but I need to look up the value for a South African site (.co.za)?

Hi,

I tried the certified offer service for a well known domain name: Yahoo.com.

This is the result:

YAHOO.COM $8,515.00 - $10,000.00 USD

Really some useful?

WhooHoo hotchook,

Thanks for that cool little trick. Not that this type of appraisal is that accurate, but it gives some idea. I should send everyone that asks for appraisals here so I don't have to keep trying to guess.

I did one of my names - keyprofit.com and it came back:
$1,665.00 - $2,331.00 USD
This range is based on the following criteria:
(Out of 5 stars)
Word Relevance 5
Domain Name Length 4
Live Web Site NA
Domain Extension 5
Traffic Ranking NA

I gave a little more attention to the Certified Offer service of Network Solution and found this:

"Note: The Certified Offer amount must be between $100 and $10,000 USD."

This explains why the highest value for a domain is $10,000.

Not only for Yahoo.com, but also for Google.com and msn.com.
So no domain will be appraised higher than $10,000.

A free online appraisal service that I found nice is here:
http://www.swiftappraisal.com/index.html

Try it out, I think you will find it nice too.

Yeah, I always thought SwiftAppraisal overvalues every name. I think it was designed for the early 90s and left un-updated :)

Well, I think we should hope that prices
return to be the ones of 3-5 years ago.

The internet users are always more all
around the world, and now in many other
countries rather than only in the USA
people buy online and show interest for
online paid services.
