Default Domain's Ranking on Alexa

We purchased a domain over a year ago and were checking at Alexa today and noticed that when we type in the URL it gives a traffic ranking of 915,000 but it's for a different URL.

We tried this several times to see if it was an error but kept getting the same results.

We even tried other URL's and they were all fine.

What could cause something like this to happen? Our site isn't developed as of yet.

Default pointer

Is your un hosted domain name being pointed to your hosted domain name, server side?

In other words do you have unhosted domain set to point its dns record to hosted domain?

Because I have seen this happend before, and that is what I believe to be happening.
