I am using ip2country in conjunction with php and mysql to detect the country - and then redirect accordingly.
At the moment i simply want to send uk browsers to one page and the rest of the world to another.
My question is - is it possible to test the rest of the world option using a uk based browser when the pages are uploaded to a uk based provider.

Given that the IP Address reported for any giving requesting Agent is determined by the user's ISP, independent of where your Host is located, I am at a loss to understand your question.

My question is how to test it works - when I view the page my IP shows UK - and that part works - but how can I check the rest of the world gets redirected?

Simply post the URL here, along with info. re. what page non-UK users should be re-directed to, and I & others can check it for you.

If, for some reason, you prefer to not make such public, PM the info. to me.

You can't test the non-uk part from a UK based IP. You're going to have to ask someone outside the uk to test it, unless you try running through a proxy server.
