I'm kind of a lazy bone so I don't really do any much of a cleaning for my PC, but, considering the money I spend on getting a technician fix it every once in a while, I think its time to think about doing so...

thanks for the tips

In addition
1. Once a month, defrag your harddisk to optimize it.
2. Empty your recycle bin and temp folders at least once a month

- For general clean up and registry, CCcleaner is free and simple to use.
- As well as an Anti Virus its important to also run an anti spyware programe like Adaware or Spybot
- Never trust 1 Anti virus program, once a month, i always use a free online scan to ensure my AV didn't miss anything.

Pretty good tips you got there!
Another thing...
Do not open emails from unkown source.
If you download an email attachment, scan it first for viruses. Do not open it right away after the download.

Nowadays there are so many spam emails that saying your website is undergoing a change and asking you to click the url link. Always be safe and check with your host first before doing so.

Also remember to update your O/S as it will have security issues that makes your system unprotected even if you have an anti-virus. That is what I get notified by my anti-virus if I forget to update the O/S.
