Default Remote Desktop Problems

I have created additional services for remote desktop on my router to allow me to access more than one machine on my office network, from home. Each machine has its own port with forwarding in firewall rules. I can only access 1 of the machines with remote desktop. I should be able to open my IPort number then enter correct username and password but I get error message cant access remote computer. I have tried doing this in the office and it works fine but not from home????

Any Ideas anybody

(Assuming Windows XP Professional) You probably changed the TCP port listed in the Remote Desktop settings. However, there are two ports that Remote Desktop listens on. One is the TCP port, the other is port is 3389. This can not be changed in the menu. You would need to edit your registry to alter this port. Check here: How to change the listening port for Remote Desktop
