Default Opera 9.24 + widgets.

We all know msn and Google gadgets, Yahoo widgets and of course Opera is picking up with their widgets.

Anybody that has tried these and found some useful?

By the way a new version of Opera, 9.24 was ready today.

Had downloaded it this afternoon. Ever wonder why so few use Opera? I think you are the only one here who has praised this browser.

Had a look at the Opera Developer Console and DOM Snapshot?

As for Widgets, some under the Web Dev. category. PHP Manual, Widget Maker, Screen Ruler and MindPad.

I use all the major three, all for different purposes.
  • Three different home pages.
  • Can surf the web while I upgrade to a new version.
  • Testing.

Well, I'll be the second to praise Opera. It's not my default, but I use it. My favorite Opera feature is the voice plug-in. You can get an inkling of what your website sounds like in a screen reader. It's rather enlightening if you care at all about accessibility. Besides that, it's way cool.

Opera is only native browser, where my The Spoon series (done using SVG language) will play properly.
Also my Mobile Content Publishing software which I recently wrote within two weeks (http://veikoh.freehostia.com/weeblog/frameset.html) works properly in Opera (Welcome to mobile content publishing system).
Safari is far behing in SVG development (when I talked with Apple technical team), they assumed it will take over a year of their development to be ready in the level of SVG I have used to animate my series) and Mozilla SVG support is full of bugs.
Besides PC, Opera works well in mobile phones, TV boxes, games consoles, etc.
They are far ahead from Microsoft in their technology.
I was invited to present The Spoon to Opera in April 2006 but as lack of any money, I'm still unable to meet them.
Being without any money of long period of time and still believing to my projects, I have now decided to move forward with The Spoon as donations based project rather than dealing with stupid and greedy VC's. All persons willing to donate will be credited.
